Art Colouring Book - NASA edition

 Hello Readers!

Today I decided I wanted to do the summer learning journey 2021-2022. I decided to do the learning journey to improve my reading and writing. In class I begun my first activity which  was a warm up. This activity was simple, easy and fun! It didn't take me long so I managed to finish it on time. The activity I had to do was to choose a colouring page to colour in and blog. I choose to colour in a astronaut image. ( The theme was NASA)

Activity 2: Discovering Aotearoa

Salam ( Hello) Readers this is another SLJ post so today for this post it says to: 

 So I have done this, I went onto piktochart and then I made a poster all about my family culture. My family that has more of a culture is on my Mum's side , and my mum is from Malaysia.  In Malaysian culture it has many cool things that to you do. And one of them is called Ramadan and it is basically were you do fasting . And last year my sister  I think she did a incredible job, shout out to you Nadia. 

  What I found easy was  basically writing down everything, what I found hard was finding a way to write it down for you guys to understand what i'm trying say.  For this post I think it was very fun for me because I like to share my own culture with people.   Also if your wondering what Salam means it means hello.  

This activity has been my favorite so far, it is because I get to share what  I sometimes do with my family in my spare time. I Hope you guys like this post and now here is the poster:

Activity 1: Medical Mavericks

Hi readers your probably wondering why i'm still blogging it is because the summer learning journey hasn't finished yet. So for this activity it says to: 

If you could choose someone to give a Nobel Prize to, who would it be? Why would you choose them? Remember, they need to be extraordinary!

On your blog, tell us who you would give a Nobel Prize to and why.

So I choose to make a canva poster and wrote the because of why I want that person to get a Nobel prize. I also asked my mum if I could, add a image and she said yes.

What I found hard was thinking why she should get the award. What I found easy was adding the text adding the text once I know what I need to write. Activity 3: Concluding the Journey

Hi readers this is my last post for the summer learning journey so for this post I have to tell you my favorite activity that I have done. So guys as you know this is my last post for the summer learning journey, so for this last post my blurb isn't that big.

So for this last post I made a google slide with what my favorite activity is. What I found easy was making the slide what I found hard was making it make sense. Feel free to comment.



      

Activity 2: K-pop heroes

Hi readers this is another SLJ activity today I choose to do this kPop activity it says to :

If you would like to watch the cbs sunday morning video here is the link: CBS Sunday Morning Special about BTS. On a google slide I put what I like and think about BTS. 

If you don't know what Bts is it is a korean boy band. It is a K-pop band that does realllly good songs. And it has really good music videos for there songs,and they are really famous.

BTS also made their own stuffed toys, they are called BT21. there is also some BT21 keychains which is very convenient. I like how BTS expresses their  songs. What I found easy was adding all the info in the slide. What I found hard was finding new things to add.

So this group of people decided to make the summer learning journey

and also you can call it SLJ it is short for Summer Learning Journey. So kids don't go down lots of levels in their learning it can also make kids go up in learning. 

So if you do the summer learning journey it might help you with your learning and make you learn something new. The foundents that participate in it is : Next foundation ,Wright family foundation, Hugo charitable trust, and Manaiakalani the hook from heaven. 

       

Activity 3: The Diary of Anne Frank

Dear diary, 

This is another summer learning journey activity. So today for the activity today It says to :

So I have done this except I put into a book creator book. I Had to make my own extraordinary diary entry  about something. I choose to write about a red panda that had invisible wings. It took me a long time to write the story because I wanted it to make sense and be interesting. 

What I found easy was thinking about what the red panda was up to. using a new creative way of showing my diary was hard for me.This activity was very fun to do because I got to use my own imagination to think of ideas to make it fun to read. Activity 3: Own Choice

Hey readers this is another SLJ post, 
So today for my post I have chosen the own choice one so for this post I had to find someone to explain about.  For my person I choose a youtuber because that is  the easiest thing for me to 
do it about.I made a flipsnack and I put some facts on to it.

When I was doing this I had to do some research about the youtuber.
It was fun because I really enjoyed making it, and I found it challenging because  It was my first time doing using flipsnack and I wanted to challenge myself. If you would like to try to use flipsnack here is a link: Flipsnack:https://www.flipsnack.com/

What I found easy was challenge myself what I found hard was figuring out how the app works. Here is my work:

Activity 3: Need for Speed

Hey readers this is another Summer Learning Journey post, so today for the post I choose to do this activity were I have to draw motorbike and describe the things about it. So I got a piece of lined paper and looked on google and found a motor bike started to trace it. It took me many paper changing because I wasn't happy with what it looked like.

Once I finished tracing I added a road and traffic light to make it more interesting to look at.
Then I got some markers and coloring pencils then I colored it in. After that I wrote a small
description talking about the motorbike. What I found hard was tracing because it took many
tries to make the motorbike . Here is a picture of my creation.

       In case you can't read the description it says, My motorbike comes in all of the colors in the rainbow. The speed is 50 miles per hour, so the motor bike is really fast. And the speed goes up to 10,0000 kms.

Activity 1: Nanogirl

Hi readers today for my activity I have chosen,to pick this activity where I have to go on this tiny house website and I had to watch any 3 videos I want on the videos it shows a full tour of the tiny houses. And write on a blog post if I would live in a tiny house and why/why not.

If you would look at the tiny house click on this link here:Video Tours. My favorite house I watched out of the 3 videos I watched was the tiny house with crawl space to connect lofts house because it had lots of areas to put stuff and it had a connected loft.


Now to if I would live in a tiny, If I had to I would and I would also live in a tiny house if I got the choice because it won't take as long to clean the whole house as it would to clean a ordinary house and it is not to overwelliming. 

Activity 3: Hidden Figures

Hi readers! Sorry I haven't really been posting it's because i've been busy but I am catching up. Today for this activity I had to go on this coding website and I had to solve the code and on it I had to make all sorts of different shapes.check out the game here: code.org. 

I found it really challenging because it was difficult to solve the codes, I found it fun because it was my first ever playing a coding game! Also on the game each time you solve a code you move up a level and each time you move up a level it gets harder.               
                                                     
When I got to the fourth level I took a screenshot so you guys can kinda see what it looks like once you have finished a level. On the fourth level the shape is called a hexagon. I hope you enjoyed my post, feel free to comment.  

                  

Activity 2: Printing Prosthetics

 Hi readers today I choose to do this activity where I had to watch this video about prosthetic hands. And I have to tell you 2 things I learned watching it so here is the link for the video :  this video. I found this video very amazing how you can make 3D prosthetic hands and your very lucky if your hands are connected to your arms.


On the video it show this man making a 3D prosthetic hand it  is amazing how it works. My two new things I learnt is not everyone has fingers or hands and no one is perfect  , and I also learnt that being  grateful is the main thing in life because life's too short to get everything you want but you can achieve goals . 


What I found easy was explaining  the 2 things I learned. What I found hard was thinking of the two things I learned. I enjoyed doing this activity becauses I learned something, it is interesting ,and lastly it is a miracle that some people that didn't have fingers got a 3D prosthetic hand and it is waterproof.

Activity 2: Influencers

Hi readers today I have been thinking about if I had a YouTube channel what type of videos I would do. So today I  choose to do this activity for the summer learning journey where I have to write a description about what I would do if I had a YouTube channel. What I found easy was thinking about it what I found hard was thinking of ways to explain it. I hope you enjoy my description feel free to comment.

Activity 1: Everyday Heroes

Hi readers today I have finished doing a screencastify  about saving new south wales. This activity is about new south wales and how there fire services  at the moment are fighting about 150 fires in Australia, so for this activity I had to make something that has 5 brainstorms in it so I choose to do it on a google slide. I also added something else to it to make it more interesting. I had to do a screencastify with me explaining my brainstorms. What I found easy was adding the brainstorms what I found hard  was thinking of the because. Activity 3: Belle of the Ball

Hi readers today for my activity i'm doing is about books it is based on Emma Watson and how she was a actor in Harry Potter she also spent most of her time saying speeches about men and boys and women and girls, and the equality of right for both genders. Did you know she lives reading and she started her own book club. For this activity I have to pretend that Emma emailed me and asked me for a book to recommend, and I have to find a book and in a blog post add a png image or make a image of the book cover of the book describe in my own words what the book is about. What I found hard writing the description what I found easy was thinking how to set it up. What is your favorite book?

- A Mermaid who lives in the ocean and her school has this book writing competition, and they have to write their own stories about something and the main characters name is called Cora. And Cora choose to sign up and one day she was swimming around the ocean and she saw narwhals so she choose to write her book about the narwhals and with her story she got 1st place.

Activity 3: “I Have a Dream”

Hey readers, Today I researched about Rosa parks. Do you know the story of Rosa Parks? If not keep on reading I will be telling the story about her in my own words. If you would like to research about her click on this link here, in this story people were really racist so if I say some thing racist in the story it is what happened. What I found hard was seeing what happened to her, what I found hard was understanding that we are lucky that we don't have to be in the situation. I hope you enjoy the story and understand Rosa's story. Feel free to comment. 


Rosa was born on February 4 1913, 
Shortly after her birth her parents got split up and then Rosa and her mum moved to Pine level Alibaba to live her grandparents. Rosa found out there was a law a very racist law the law was the right of African American and American people, the law was the African American and American people can't be together, so they had to be separated. So she went on this bus and on the buses in that country the African American people have to pay at the front of the bus and the go threw the back door and then sit at the back and then the  American people got to pay at the front and sit at the front. But Rosa didn't like that so she payed at the front and sat at the front, and then the bus driver told her to go and sit at the front but she just sat there and didn't listen. And then the bus driver got her arrested and she got something she had to pay but she refused to pay so she argued to the police she said "this isn't against the law this is racist" so then they changed the law so that black and white people can be together forever. And then years later on the date 24 October 2005 Rosa passed away she was 92 years old. The end.           
  

Activity 2: Caine’s Arcade

Kia ora, today I will be telling you what is my favorite game it is a computer game it has multiple games on the game can you guess ? it is called roblox it is a game with more games on it, you have to make a account and with the account you have a character you can design it your self, by having outfits and more, some of the stuff on it you have to  use robux robux is money that you can use on all of the games on roblox. But you have to pay for robux to have some. My favorite game on roblox is called meep city it is a game were you can design your own house and you can buy things to put in your house, on the game you put outfits on your character. You can earn game money on  it to buy stuff on the game. you control your character buy using w,a,s,d they are mostly for moving such as forward, left , right and back, the arrow keys are for moving the camera and view of the game. Activity 2: iMoko

Hey readers, today's post I will be telling you 5 ways me and my family stay healthy. 

 -walk to the mall,  eat fruit and veges, 

- have a good sleep, 

- stay fresh , 

- stay clean.

Activity 2: Celebrating Diversity

Kia ora readers Today I have done some research about very interesting  cultures, I had to  pick two groups of cultures that I find interesting the groups I had to choose from were: 
Ainu People

Inuit People

Australian Aboriginal People

Papuan People

  
Maya People

 If you would like to research  about these cultures click on them, My two Interesting cultures is Australian Aboriginal people because of how amazing of them saving new south wales, and also because some children there jump on there trampoline when there is a storm coming. My other culture  that I found interesting was Maya people because of the fascinating buildings that has been abandoned for about 10 years of what it looked like to me, and also because of the celebrations that look very cool. What I found easy was thinking how cool cultures can be, what I found hard was researching about it because there was some quiet hard words to sound out. Feel free to comment.      

Activity 3: ‘Dear Jacinda’

Hi readers, Today I completed the Jacinda Ardern activity, for this activity I had to write a letter to her  explaining something that can better we got some choices they are:

• We should have more/less school
• Kids should be able to eat ice cream whenever they want
• Swimming lessons should be free
• Kids should be able to be Prime Minister.
• Free choice 

I choice to do Swimming lessons should be free, I choose to do this because some kids need to learn to swim, and the amount of money you have to pay some parents can't afford that much. I added two label for reuse images one of Jacinda  Adern  and one of some one doing swimming lessons. What I found hard was writing the letter what I found easy was adding label for reuse images to the writing and putting it in a good place in the writing. DAY 5: AGAINST THE ODDS Activity 1: National Treasure

Today I choose to do the activity where I have to list 3 things that are really important to me in my life the three things are, My family because they always help me and they are very loving, my cats because they are furry and playful and friendly, and lastly school because that is where I learn most of my education at and it helps me in lots of stuff.
