Summer Haiku (SLJ 2020-2021) Set Up (Day four)

Hey Readers! 

 I had already finished kick start and now its time for set up ... I firstly started with learn, I watched a video called 7 Summer haiku in the video it just had 7 summer haiku poems the poems were really intresting. After that I read a story called what makes a good haiku  it talked about different types of poems and heaps more. Next I explored Katikati haiku pathway it was very intresting and talked a little bit about history. Create, anyways after I made a screencastify and used a slide template. The most easiest part was thinking of things for the poems to be about because they were about Summer! The hardest part was making sure the screencastify I made had alright audio and no mumbiling. Activity Eight of Winter Learning Journey

Hey readers!

 For my secound activity of the winter learning journey I choose to do activity eight. For activity eight I had to go onto music lab and make a music tune that reminds me of winter. First I thought about things to do with winter. Next I started to create the music, how I showed it reminded me of winter was by drawing it. Once I finished doing my music I played it and added some beats to it. 

After that I filmed my screencastify it took me two tries to do it so that it is perfect. My favorite part was seeing the music come together. 5 minute intervals

Hey Readers!
Today since I finished my activity from last week Miss W let me do a screencastify of me explain  two five minute intervals.  So I choose to do it about the two most hardest times to tell. I went onto my slide then I got my first time I was gonna explain.

My Hot Chocolate Recipe

Mm yum in my tum, Hi readers today I did a screencastify about how to make hot chocolate. You guys probably  already know how to make it but I just wanted to do it for fun. This recipe is for sure easy peasy lemon squeezy. I first started the screencastify then I said what the ingredients are, after that I did the steps. 

stuff you need:

- 2 teaspoons of hot cocoa mix 
- milk
- hot / boiling water


My favorite bit was drinking it, and my favorite least favorite thing was waiting for the hot water to boil. Feel free to comment. 

                                                               
             
                           

What you can do when your stuck at home

Hi readers, today I have been thinking about what you can do at home. I said all the stuff I could think of into a screencastify. First I wrote down my ideas onto a google doc, next I did my screencastify. After that I started this blog post.

Activity 3: The Diary of Anne Frank

Dear diary, 

This is another summer learning journey activity. So today for the activity today It says to :

So I have done this except I put into a book creator book. I Had to make my own extraordinary diary entry  about something. I choose to write about a red panda that had invisible wings. It took me a long time to write the story because I wanted it to make sense and be interesting. 

What I found easy was thinking about what the red panda was up to. using a new creative way of showing my diary was hard for me.This activity was very fun to do because I got to use my own imagination to think of ideas to make it fun to read. The summer learning journey is where you do  blogging you  do so you don't go down the summer slide. 

what is the summer slide?

The summer slide is what you go down during the long summer break

it makes you lose 1 month of reading and writing and lots more.

If you go down the summer slide it will take a long time for you too get back to your right level of your learning. So we do the Summer Learning Journey to keep up our right level of learning journey.

So this group of people decided to make the summer learning journey

and also you can call it SLJ it is short for Summer Learning Journey. So kids don't go down lots of levels in their learning it can also make kids go up in learning. 

So if you do the summer learning journey it might help you with your learning and make you learn something new. The foundents that participate in it is : Next foundation ,Wright family foundation, Hugo charitable trust, and Manaiakalani the hook from heaven. 

       

Activity 1: Everyday Heroes

Hi readers today I have finished doing a screencastify  about saving new south wales. This activity is about new south wales and how there fire services  at the moment are fighting about 150 fires in Australia, so for this activity I had to make something that has 5 brainstorms in it so I choose to do it on a google slide. I also added something else to it to make it more interesting. I had to do a screencastify with me explaining my brainstorms. What I found easy was adding the brainstorms what I found hard  was thinking of the because.
