Match the kupu to the pikitia

Kia Ora Readers!

Today for Te Reo Tuesday with Miss W we looked back on what we did last Tuesday. So first we had to practise our hand actions. After that we made a copy of a google drawing and we had to put it into our languages folder. On the google drawing we had to match the moari word to English. We also learnt some new words, the first one is Muri, Muri means behind. And Mua means infront, my favorite part was doing the actions because  it was fun, and  challenging to remember the actions to the words.

Maori Greeting Practice

Kia ora readers!
Today with Miss Mcleod we did a practice of Maori greetings. We did this to recap us of moari greetings.  I think I already knew what moari greetings is I just needed to get a recap.  What we practiced was meanings for the moari greetings such as Kia ora etc.

We also got to think of other greetings in other languages. What I found easy was thinking of what the words mean.

Maori Weather bookmark

The last couple of weeks in Te Ao Maori we have being working on making a Maori weather bookmark . And finally I have finished it, it was very challenging cause we had to write the Maori word and then add bracts for the English meaning . what  I found hard was getting the moari word and adding the English meaning, what I found easy was adding the write picture to match the word. We had to do this bookmark on Canva . Feel free to comment.
