Christmas Miracles πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸΌπŸŽ

 Hello Readers!!

This week in wananga we have been writing stories. One writing activity was to write a christmas story.  We started off by choosing a inspiration image to write about. I choose to write about a golden retriever.  My story is called "Christmas Miracles." At first the activity was a little bit difficult but in the end I managed to use my imagination and my a unique story. The task was quite easy to do. I hope you enjoy my story. (Don't forget to give me feedback,  to fix something).

What is income? πŸ€”πŸ’΅

 Greetings readers!

Today in wananga this term for our kete we are doing business and enterprise.  This term we are going to sell something and before we start doing that we have been learning about different things to do with money. One of the tasks we got set was to find the meaning of income. Every table had a group and had to discus what the meaning of income is. We also had to think of some jobs we can do in the class to get paid on Banquer. ( Banquer is a website that teaches students to use money for the correct things such as paying bills and also teaches them about words to do with money).

Here is my meaning of income:

Income means earning money. Money can be earned in many different ways ( such as income from jobs). The money from income is money you can spend and rely on.

Here are some of the jobs I came up with for my class:

  • Pencil sharpener
  • Sports gear monitor
  • Rubbish monitor
  • Recycling monitor
  • Turtle monitor
  • Barista
Thank you for reading my post :)

Māori Language week

 Kia Ora Readers!

Happy Māori language week from me to you!

This week in wananga class we have been celebrating Māori  language week. Part of our task was to create a presentation teaching people words/phrases. We could  base our presentation of numbers, emotions and shapes. I choose to base mine of emotions because it seemed to be the most interesting option for me. Firstly I picked a website this time I used visme. Visme is a website you can create presentations, info graphics, charts/graphs, printables, web graphics, social graphics, video/gif and much more.

As I begun making this presentation I made sure it didn't look to boring to readers because if it is then it would be a presentation no one would look at. Some ways I made my presentation more attractive to readers are: including emojis, adding colour, changing fonts and changing backgrounds. After I completed the presentation I made sure everything was spelled correct and made sense. Finding the meaning of the emotions was tricky for me. Decorating the presentation was simple for me.

Here is my presentation:
