LESSON 3: WHAT CAN WE USE FOR WET MEDIA?

 Hello Readers!

This week for art I did one activity. I choose to do the wet media task, for this task you use supplies around your house to create colours with water. In the end I only actually found two things that created a colour/watercolour paint. They were coffee and food colouring. Some other things I tried to mix with water that didn't work was : cinnamon and the inside of tea bags.  After I created the mixtures I drew some drawing that were related to the mixture. The easiest part was making the mixture the hardest part was drawing.

Here is what I did:

Thank you for reading my blog post :)

  1. Hi Jordan
Great use of your imagination here, and well done for drawing the things related to the mixture you used! That coffee picture is particularly good! You should frame this and think about making copies of this to sell during our "Business & Enterprise" kete that we do in Term 4 (I know I'd buy one to put in my office near my Nespresso machine). Keep thinking about other ideas you could use for watercolour paints (maybe something from the garage or a garden shed?).

  2. Ka mau te wehi Jordan, love the thinking.. 'creative excellence'.
The tea bad idea is interesting. Take a look at the history of the military colour khaki for some insight into the use of tea for coloration.
