Improving Cartoon Watercolour art ๐Ÿ’ง ๐ŸŽจ

 Hello Readers!

Today I decided I wanted to try improve my watercolour painting and drawing. I have been working on my cartoon watercolour paint as well as drawing. Since I wasn't happy with the some of my art I did last time I tried to re do them but use different drawings of them. The cartoon characters I did again to improve are Pan Pan, Grizz and Ice bear from "We Bare Bears." Also Gumball, Darwin and Anais from " The Amazing World Of Gumball."

This task was not set for me but improving my water colouring is a goal I set for my self. For me this task was very fun because I like to do all sorts of different art. My favourite type of art is probably abstract and watercolour. Colouring the drawings was a little bit tricky for me because the drawings are kind of detailed. Drawing was easy for me and I love to draw and I have some skills. When I completed my art I was happy with it but I'm not really sure if I improved.

  Do you think I improved?

Here is the art I tried to improve :

We Bare Bears Art

Gumball Art

Darwin and Anais Art

  1. Hi Jordan
Boy, your watercolour painting is getting really good. I think my favourite one is the first one, with the three bears in the box. What a shame the paint ran a bit in Darwin and Anais Art. What sort of paper are you using for this? Do you have proper art paper or is it something else?

  2. Hello Mr Mitchell, Thank you for the comment. I use the kmart watercolour paper from the watercolour pad. I also use a kit I got from kmart that includes brushes, a rubber, pencil and paint.

  3. Kia Ora Jordan these are really cool! I also love that you had a go at finding alternates to paint in your last blog post. I like the bears stacked on top of each other. A way to extend you idea is by turning these little creatures into a comic strip and telling a story with them. I’m really pleased you have loved learning about watercolour and you’re giving yourself a goal to extend your knowledge. Ka pai!

  4. Wow, Jordan, these are wonderful. These would be superb illustrations for a children's story book. What kind of personalities do you think they have? I wonder what adventures they could go on? I can't wait to see what you do next.

    1. Hello!

Thank you for commenting on my blog. The bears personalities are: Pan-Pan is very shy and has anxiety, Grizz the girzly bear is very friendly and loves too eat, and the polar bear is very quiet and very smart. I don't know what the other characters personality are though.
