Pixel drawing

Hey Readers, today for make it Monday with Miss w we used a website here is the link to it:Toy Theater.  We first had to make a simple drawing next we had to work out  one of the shapes perimeter, that was something new for me.  Perimeter is the measurement around the outside of a 2D shape and area is the measurement of the space inside a 2D shape. And a area is how many squares there is. My favorite part was figuring out how many area and perimeter there are. On my drawing I have a blue sky and a person with a purple top and pink pants, I also have some green grass and a tree. A challenge for you guys how many units and areas are there in my sky on my drawing? leave a comment.

  2. Hi Jordan, thanks for coming to the Google Hangout this morning. Area and perimeter are big ideas so well done for beginning to understand them. Is the area of your sky 40cm squared?Perimeter is the measurement around the outside of a 2D shape and area is the measurement of the space inside a 2D shape. While it is easiest to work out with squares, it's not always the case. Do you think you could work out the perimeter of the tree trunk?

    1. Hello Miss Williamson, thank you for the comment. I am pretty sure it is 40 or somewhere around 40 and 50. The tree trunk is something like 14. What is your absoulute hardest part of pixel stuff?
