Activity 2: Printing Prosthetics

 Hi readers today I choose to do this activity where I had to watch this video about prosthetic hands. And I have to tell you 2 things I learned watching it so here is the link for the video :  this video. I found this video very amazing how you can make 3D prosthetic hands and your very lucky if your hands are connected to your arms.


On the video it show this man making a 3D prosthetic hand it  is amazing how it works. My two new things I learnt is not everyone has fingers or hands and no one is perfect  , and I also learnt that being  grateful is the main thing in life because life's too short to get everything you want but you can achieve goals . 


What I found easy was explaining  the 2 things I learned. What I found hard was thinking of the two things I learned. I enjoyed doing this activity becauses I learned something, it is interesting ,and lastly it is a miracle that some people that didn't have fingers got a 3D prosthetic hand and it is waterproof.

Activity 2: Influencers

Hi readers today I have been thinking about if I had a YouTube channel what type of videos I would do. So today I  choose to do this activity for the summer learning journey where I have to write a description about what I would do if I had a YouTube channel. Activity 1: Everyday Heroes

Hi readers today I have finished doing a screencastify  about saving new south wales. This activity is about new south wales and how there fire services  at the moment are fighting about 150 fires in Australia, so for this activity I had to make something that has 5 brainstorms in it so I choose to do it on a google slide. I also added something else to it to make it more interesting. I had to do a screencastify with me explaining my brainstorms. What I found easy was adding the brainstorms what I found hard  was thinking of the because. Activity 3: Belle of the Ball

Hi readers today for my activity i'm doing is about books it is based on Emma Watson and how she was a actor in Harry Potter she also spent most of her time saying speeches about men and boys and women and girls, and the equality of right for both genders. Did you know she lives reading and she started her own book club. For this activity I have to pretend that Emma emailed me and asked me for a book to recommend, and I have to find a book and in a blog post add a png image or make a image of the book cover of the book describe in my own words what the book is about. - A Mermaid who lives in the ocean and her school has this book writing competition, and they have to write their own stories about something and the main characters name is called Cora. And Cora choose to sign up and one day she was swimming around the ocean and she saw narwhals so she choose to write her book about the narwhals and with her story she got 1st place.

Activity 3: “I Have a Dream”

Hey readers, Today I researched about Rosa parks. Do you know the story of Rosa Parks? If not keep on reading I will be telling the story about her in my own words. If you would like to research about her click on this link here, in this story people were really racist so if I say some thing racist in the story it is what happened. What I found hard was seeing what happened to her, what I found hard was understanding that we are lucky that we don't have to be in the situation. I hope you enjoy the story and understand Rosa's story. Feel free to comment. 


Rosa was born on February 4 1913, 
Shortly after her birth her parents got split up and then Rosa and her mum moved to Pine level Alibaba to live her grandparents. Rosa found out there was a law a very racist law the law was the right of African American and American people, the law was the African American and American people can't be together, so they had to be separated. So she went on this bus and on the buses in that country the African American people have to pay at the front of the bus and the go threw the back door and then sit at the back and then the  American people got to pay at the front and sit at the front. But Rosa didn't like that so she payed at the front and sat at the front, and then the bus driver told her to go and sit at the front but she just sat there and didn't listen. And then the bus driver got her arrested and she got something she had to pay but she refused to pay so she argued to the police she said "this isn't against the law this is racist" so then they changed the law so that black and white people can be together forever. And then years later on the date 24 October 2005 Rosa passed away she was 92 years old. The end.           
  

Activity 2: Caine’s Arcade

Kia ora, today I will be telling you what is my favorite game it is a computer game it has multiple games on the game can you guess ? it is called roblox it is a game with more games on it, you have to make a account and with the account you have a character you can design it your self, by having outfits and more, some of the stuff on it you have to  use robux robux is money that you can use on all of the games on roblox. But you have to pay for robux to have some. My favorite game on roblox is called meep city it is a game were you can design your own house and you can buy things to put in your house, on the game you put outfits on your character. You can earn game money on  it to buy stuff on the game. you control your character buy using w,a,s,d they are mostly for moving such as forward, left , right and back, the arrow keys are for moving the camera and view of the game. Activity 2: iMoko

Hey readers, today's post I will be telling you 5 ways me and my family stay healthy. 

 -walk to the mall,  eat fruit and veges, 

- have a good sleep, 

- stay fresh , 

- stay clean.

Activity 2: Celebrating Diversity

Kia ora readers Today I have done some research about very interesting  cultures, I had to  pick two groups of cultures that I find interesting the groups I had to choose from were: 
Ainu People

Inuit People

Australian Aboriginal People

Papuan People

  
Maya People

 If you would like to research  about these cultures click on them, My two Interesting cultures is Australian Aboriginal people because of how amazing of them saving new south wales, and also because some children there jump on there trampoline when there is a storm coming. My other culture  that I found interesting was Maya people because of the fascinating buildings that has been abandoned for about 10 years of what it looked like to me, and also because of the celebrations that look very cool. What I found easy was thinking how cool cultures can be, what I found hard was researching about it because there was some quiet hard words to sound out. Feel free to comment.      

Activity 3: ‘Dear Jacinda’

Hi readers, Today I completed the Jacinda Ardern activity, for this activity I had to write a letter to her  explaining something that can better we got some choices they are:

• We should have more/less school
• Kids should be able to eat ice cream whenever they want
• Swimming lessons should be free
• Kids should be able to be Prime Minister.
• Free choice 

I choice to do Swimming lessons should be free, I choose to do this because some kids need to learn to swim, and the amount of money you have to pay some parents can't afford that much. I added two label for reuse images one of Jacinda  Adern  and one of some one doing swimming lessons. What I found hard was writing the letter what I found easy was adding label for reuse images to the writing and putting it in a good place in the writing. DAY 5: AGAINST THE ODDS Activity 1: National Treasure

Today I choose to do the activity where I have to list 3 things that are really important to me in my life the three things are, My family because they always help me and they are very loving, my cats because they are furry and playful and friendly, and lastly school because that is where I learn most of my education at and it helps me in lots of stuff. Activity 3: Own Choice Day 5

Today I did the own choice activity I got to make something about anyone I wanted, I choose to do it about Jennifer Lopez I made a bite-able with 9 facts about Jennifer Lopez I also added audio to it,  to make it more interesting to watch. I first researched  all about her then added some facts to the  bite-able on two clips there is label for reuse images. What I found easy was adding the facts to the bite- able what I found hard was researching all about her. If you got to make something about any one you want who would you do it about? Activity 3: Worth her Weight in Gold

Today and yesterday  I did the third  activity for day four it is about Dame Valerie Adams and  how she the champion of new Zealand in shot pot she got 4 times as well medals at the Olympics. She is a Tongan  New Zealander. For the activity I had to do is make a poster about any country I want and add some places to go in the country and tips. I choose to do mine about Malaysia because My mum was born there and I have traveled there before and I know quiet a lot of stuff about Malaysia. What I found easy was writing the tips what I found hard was finding places to go. On my poster I used label for reuse images. Feel free to comment.   

                                      

Day there: team players Activity 3: Achieving our dreams

Today for the summer learning journey I did one of the activity's for day 3, it is the third activity for day there. It is about achieving our dreams, I had to make a plan/ brainstorm about how i'm gonna  achieve my dream job. My dream job is house real estate agent  because it really interest  me of selling houses and  helping people find houses to live in, and also giving them some ideas of good types of houses for them. I made a infographic on piktochart. Added things of some steps I'll take to get my dream job. What I found hard  was thinking of the steps to put in the brainstorm. DAY 1: EXPLORING THE WORLD Activity 1: Setting Sail

Hey readers, Today and yesterday I have been working on  my first summer learning journey activity. The activity is about the Polynesians and how they got there way around the pacific ocean. They used the sun and stars, they used the sun by the sunset and the area it is at. They used the stars for finding directions such as north south east west. I had to make a voyage with 10 things I would bring on the trip. Without a fridge or freezer. The 10 food items I would bring and why are...,  10 liters of water to stay hydrated, some apples to stay healthy and to not get cavities. Cookies for a snack if i'm hungry, carrots to also not get cavities, chips for a snack, grapes to stay healthy. Wafers for another snack, chocolate bars if I feel like a treat. pre chopped cucumber for a healthy snack, pre-cut watermelon if it is hot for me to cool down. Christmas Instructions By Rarika and Jordan

This week in Miss Goslins writing group we have being doing Christmas writing.
We got 7 choices to pick from, and we got to choose if we wanted to be in buddies.
Me and Rarika are buddies. We did the Instructions one about steps of what to do
on Christmas eve. We added images to show what to do step by step. What I found
easy was to make the pictures. what I found hard was making it look like what it
needs to look like.
                 

DAY 1: ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT

Past the last few weeks of school, we have been practicing for summer learning journey.

And we have to do teaser week stuff. And my first activity I have done is Arts and entertainment. its about lorde and her most famous song royals. The activity we had to do with it is make a poster all about her. I found it easy to do cause we got to add facts to it and free png photos. 

                                          

                                            

Computer Chips

Hey readers, Today in cyber smart we learnt  how a computer works. 

It works by chips, not potato chips computer chips. called, G.p.u, R.a.m, C.p.u,  and R.o.m.

I found it interesting, we had 1 pack of cards and we had to match the  cards together and make sure it was right by asking Miss Morgan if it was right. 

                                                       

Image Challenge

For the past few weeks  in cyber smart we have been doing activity's from uru manuka ,and today I did a image challenge with small things to do. We used explore and and image apps to fill it in.

What was easy about it was making a animal which  I choose to do a cat.                                                What was hard about it is finding images.

Tea Cups Challenge

Today for Math we did this tea cup challenge it was hard to figure out. it took me a while to figure out how to do it. But yea, the key is you can only have to mix and match it. When I was blogging this I noticed that I made a mistake on the left. yea it was hard and fun to do this work.
                                                         

 

Letter to Toki

This week since were doing lots of testing we had to do activity's throughout the week. So I did the letter to Toki. And we have to ask him questions like that. What I found easy was thinking of stuff to put on it. We did not send it to any one. we just put it on a goggle doc.

                                                     

Keeping our self safe

Today with Miss w,we did keeping our self safe. And we had to make a plan of things to do if some one touches us inappropriately. And we had to actually do things that we can do for real. It was challenging cause we had to make it have real ideas.

                                                     

Surfing trip

Last Friday the year 5/6 we went surfing at Sumner beach. Our ride was really long .             
First we got taught every thing we needed to know. such as : safety , skills, and about the stuff on the boards. Then we got put into our home rooms, then in our homerooms we got put into a group the groups were called Seals and Dolphins. I got put into the Seal group.  After that we, all got changed into wet suites. Then we got into our groups. The first thing our group did was , building castles ,  me and my friends mad a lot of these things with shells on top of them.Then we went surfing , the surfing was challenging , my favorite thing was finding waves to catch.Then we had morning tea.
After that all of us in our group we did a mermaid with my friend .
We also got taught how to boogie board it was fun to catch giant waves.

                 

Zebra Coloring

Yesterday with Mrs S we had to color in zebras, it was quiet hard  to get all the colors in the lines. We got to choose what colors we wanted to do. It really fun coloring in,I would love to do some thing like that next time.


                                                   

 

Blue Zone

Today for zones of regulation  , we had to edit a goggle drawing , with  regulation stuff on it . It was a little trickery . And in the end it was fun. It was challenging to add the right pictures.

                                                           

Te reo moari

Today for Te reo maori , we are learning how to ask questions in Te reo moari , such as where is ... , and wheres the ... , and it was very easy to , cause Miss Williamson helped us with what some of it . 




                             



       

Spiral Decimals

My Group for maths which is division , we did spiral decimals , which is like u have a symbol and u have to  select a decimal and try to make it as close of the number u can . I figured out how to win by trying to find the similar numbers and putting it as close it is to the number. Since we had two sheets we wrote on one sheet each our name. I didn't matter who choose the number first . I did this work with Arwen .

Today in Miss Williamson's homeroom , we did zones of regulation. We had to finish our work . what  was easy was adding text what it was about. I added it all to a slide so its easier to see my

Today I i'n miss Williamson  Homeroom class, we had to do days of the week in maori we had little rectangle shape, and it had the names of the week in random order. It was really hard cause I had to ask the teacher what it was .

Zones Of Regulation

Today for zones of Regulation we had to  get into groups of 3 . And my group is Eduarda,Ethan, and me Jordan. So we had to get a piece of paper with this large stick man on it and we, put arrows at arms legs and face , and we added a little sentence of what  happens with that part of your  body.
We had to choose what emotion we wanted to pick . And choose to pick sad . It was really challenging to do cause we had to pick really carefully of true things we feel.

Character Strengths

In Homeroom time with Miss Williamson.We had to find 5 strengths and narrow it to 3. Once we  did  that we had to make symbols for the strengths label it and add reason we are that strength. It was really challenging to make the symbols because I tried to  make the symbols look similar.

Respect to Environment

We have being learning about Respect . We thought of things that are important to us.

I drew a picture of my chrome book cause it needs respect. I look after it by charging it every single day. 

I found  this activity hard because we had to think of ideas and draw them down.





                         

Wonder Web For Literacy

Today with Mrs Kaurl ,  The  reliever for  Miss Goslin,  we read chapter 3 of cap size  ,its about this lady  who is in a compaction who travels from ocean to ocean so far she is now stuck in the  she is nearly in the Perth Australia ocean . Well yea , Today for our activity we had to make a wonder web asking about questions about the w words, what,when,who,why ,will. I asked 2 questions for each w word. It was really hard to ask the questions cause it was really challenging to read the book.

I found it hard , fun, and challenging because we had to find our way of  making it fun to watch .

First Light : The History of telescope

This week in collaborative literacy In group Mawhero  . we have being reading a book called first Light:The History of telescopes . The book included History science and telescopes  in it . It was interesting  reading it  . My favorite piece of the writing is when it said ,The only trouble was that theses telescopes needed to be very long to create a clear image. Our group which  is Mawhero , had to make a telescope with labels. It was challenging I tried to make it look like a image in the book.

Bar graph Math strand

Today In Miss Williamson's homeroom / Math strand . We had to make a bar graph that includes a question . we had to add choices 4- 5 examples including an other. I choice to do it about "whats ur favorite fruit. And most people choose watermelon. Whats  ur favorite fruit? Mine is grapes ,banana, and strawberries. what I found hard was asking people what there what their fav fruit was .What I found easy was coloring the chart.

The last week in literacy, Miss Goslin and Miss Williamson's  literacy have being doing collaborative  literacy. So we can learn together as a team and learn from each other. Maori Weather bookmark

 The last couple of weeks in Te Ao Maori we have being working on making a Maori weather bookmark . And finally I have finished it, it was very challenging cause we had to write the Maori word and then add bracts for the English meaning . what  I found hard was getting the moari word and adding the English meaning,what I found easy was adding the write picture to match the word. Today in Miss Williamson's homeroom we had to do a bar graph , we had to choose from, eye color, ice cream,chips, and lots more . I choose to do it about ice cream , 1 fact about me I love ice cream.  what I found easy was writing the number of the ice cream on the graph. What I found easy was adding the flavors of ice cream. Harry!!! I arrived in space ,Now let's explore,First let’s find out some facts about it , first let’s see what is smells , in my opinion, it smells like rainbow ring candy. They seem very thick but up close the rings are very thin, I think it is made out of chunks of ice  from Antarctica cause it seems to look kinda icy. I hear weird noises from the planet and rings knocking together. I'm Proud to be in space !!! facts: Most of the rings are made out of water and ice,the colors of rings are pink ,yellow , blue , green, icy blue.I think Saturn is made out of  rocks and other stuff similar . I tried to go on the rings but I kept on bouncing. I wonder if it will taste like candy.

Itwas really challenging to work together as friends . I t was a little easy .

Past the last weeks  in Miss Williamson homeroom , we have being doing  a mine craft maps  when finished  making our maps we had to do 10 questions about our map and like directions.   what I found challenging was doing the questions . What I found easy was making the map .
