Women's rights ✊πŸ½πŸ™Ž‍♀️

 Kia Ora Readers!

For the past two weeks in hurumanu one we have been learning about the protest of women's rights. We read a story about Kate Sheppard and how she got New Zealand to be the first country to allow women to vote. After we finished reading the story we got set activity's to do, one part of the activity was to make something to make people sign the petition Kate Sheppard wrote.  It had to include: a title, illustrations, and information. I decided to make mine on canva, which is a website you can make posters, info graphics, presentations, videos and much more. Firstly I used a template then changed some parts of the poster and included my own writing. This activity wasn't that challenging the hardest part was only finding illustrations. The easiest part was changing the wording and making it look neat.

Here is my poster:

  1. Hello Jordan, It's Venice.
Your posters look amazing. It's great that you are using other sites other than google drawing or slides, it makes it more interesting. I also made a poster about women's rights and used the same site you used, canva. What were the other activities you had to do? I hope to see more of your reading blog posts in the future. Keep up the great work.

    1. Hello Venice, its Jordan here.
Thank you for the comment on my blog. Some other parts of the activity I had to do were: making a book cover, making inferences and sharing my opinion.
