Making Music For Finding Dory ( Counting The Beat)

 Kia Ora Readers!

For the final week in counting the beat if we have been trying to create our own music. Mr Mitchell firstly  showed the class some examples of music and asked us if we would share it with a friend, the songs were Just Loose it and Hey Jude. Personally I wouldn't really share the songs  to my friends because  the first song "Just loose it" lyrics was to fast and hard to understand and  the other song "Hey Jude" was to calming for me. After we listened to the songs we watched the scene of the truck falling from Finding Dory without any music or sounds.  Then Mr Mitchell asked the class how we felt about it, I said " I felt as if I needed to add music to the scene." Next we watched  the scene with a  song different to the original scene, most of us thought it didn't suit the scene. Finally we watched it with the original sound, we all agreed it  was definitely better than the other versions and suits the scene very well.

After  we finished watching all the videos, Mr Mitchell  told us we needed to finish all our hurumanu tasks and showed him them blogged to start the task. Then Mr Mitchell begun explaining the task, the task was to find or create a song/beat to the scene of the truck falling from Finding Dory. The websites we could choose from to make the music was either  Sound Nation or SoundTrap and then use Kapwing to overlap the music to the video. I choose to use Sound Nation to create the music. I created a account on the website I made a empty draft then started adding beats and sounds to create the moment of the truck falling. At first I just included random sounds and beats but then I added effects and changed the volume for each beat to the music. I also checked to see if the video and music would go together every time I changed anything about the music.

Once I completed my music I put the video on a empty template then included the audio. I fixed any mistakes that stopped the music from sounding any different then published the video and watched it to see who it would be with the music. My music for the video was the genre of percussion and woodwind. The feeling of my music is excitement and fear I tried putting it together to explain the scene in music and emotions. The hardest part about this task was making the music suit the scene because I had to change it around a lot and I didn't want to use the same beats all the time. The easiest part was overlapping the music to the scene because I just needed to do two steps to do so.

Have you made your own music before or tried doing anything similar to what I've done?

Here is my overlapped music to the scene:
