Treaty of Waitangi

 Greetings Readers!

For the past three weeks in Hurumanu 1 we have been learning about how the treaty got made and signed. We firstly learnt about why the treaty was wanted, it was wanted because there were no rules back then and they were having lots of wars over who owns the land. Next we learnt about the chiefs and other people involved in the treaty and how it was written. We also learnt about the day it was signed by Mฤori and the British which was on the sixth of February 1840.

For our task we had to make a DLO ( digital, learning, object) answering some questions which were on the site, I firstly wanted to do a Biteable but then I forgot to answer all the questions. Instead I did the DLO in a google slide which was a simpler way for me. Next I  answered half of the questions on a google drawing, then transferred them onto a google slide as well as answering the rest of the questions. Two ways I got answers to the questions were: researching and going back on the site and reading it again.

The question that was challenging for me was: what were the effects on Mลari rights? I found it challenging because I couldn't really find a answer to it, I solved that problem by thinking of one. After I finished answering all of the questions I tried including one image in each slide to make it more interesting. The easiest part of this task was finding images to match the questions. What information do you know about the Treaty of Waitangi?

Here is my DLO:
