Richard was a picker ( Epic quiz)

Hey readers!

Today for reading we first read a book for 15 minutes. Then we had to read a book on epic called Richard was a picker. After we read the story we had to do a quiz, the quiz was about the story.  My favorite part of the story was when Richard stopped at ed's spice. Straight after the epic quiz we had to pick out a book to bring home.

Keeping balance through my body

Hey readers!

Throughout this week in inqury we have been learning about how to keep balance through our body's. The first thing that happened was we got told what needs to be balanced throughout our body. After that we had to go onto a spread sheet, then we had to put numbers on how much you do that thing. And all the numbers had to add up to 100. When we finished the spreadsheet we had to make the spread sheet work stuff into a pie chart. 

Straight after I finished that I made a copy of a google drawing were we had to add our pie chart to. And then we had to answer some questions. The last questions was what we can do to make sure our body is balanced propley. The hardest part was doing making the pie chart because it was confusing.

Pick-a-path plan

Hey readers!

During last week we were focusing on doing a pick-a-path. First Mrs Jones showed us a example of one, then  the next day with Miss H we started our pick-a-path brainstorm. We cared on doing our brain storm until about the next Tuesday. When the Tuesday of the second week had came we started doing a proper plan on a google sheet.  The google sheet was tricky to do, because the writing got lost.  On the Tuesday Miss H  was teaching us, so she didn't really know what to do. And then on Wednesday Mrs Jones helped us.

Today I was finishing of my plan, and I was up to section 14,  before I started section 15 I wasn't quite sure what to do after that bit. So I emailed Mrs Jones, Mrs Jones said that I only needed to do section 15 because were starting our proper pick-a-path this coming week. I will add my 2 plans bellow.

Assmbley

Kia Ora readers, on Friday the 29 of may we had a hub assmbley. First we had to pack up from our learing, then we all made sure we were siting on the mat. After that Mrs Jones started filiming our hub assmbley because the assmbley was only in our class room. Once Mrs Jones started filming Miss McLeod and Miss Mclleland started handing out these lockdown learner certifcates. I got one of them, and on my certifcate it is givin to me for: "Perfect attendace at our google hangouts during home learning and for so many blog posts.

After that Miss McLeod and Miss Williamson started to hand out the Hero arwards. The first one was for Aj then the next one was for my friend Issabella. The final one was for me, I couldn't belive that I got two things already. I sat down on one of the chairs, on my certifacte it says: in recogntion of her great start to the year, the focus and efort she puts into her learning. And the constant good choices she makes in our learning space.  

 Shortly after Miss McLeod started explaning that "some people have earnt some wrist bands."  And we have 3 wrist bands to collect, white, blue, and red you earn one of the wrist bands by getting 60 thank you tickets. By the way I also got one of the wrist bands. When Miss McLeod called my name I got to choose what color I said blue. And then Miss McLeod put it onto my wrist at first it was a bit tight but then I got use to it.

Then Mrs Jones stoped filming, then we remebered about the libarian badges. So all the libarians got handed one, I again got that one aswell. At the end of the day I felt very lucky because I got everything. I will put some images down bellow and the video of the assmbley. My favorite thing I got from assmbley was the libarian badge and the wrist band.

Mac & Cheese Pleeeze! - Epic quiz

Hey readers!
Today we have done our first epic quiz for being back at school. This story this time is is called:  Mac & Cheese Pleeze, the story is about a girl who is at a school that is doing this election about school lunch. And each child got to pick any favorite food they liked to make for lunch.

The main character was called Catlin. Once I finished the book I did the quiz I tried to remeber what the  answer was.  After the quiz I felt very happy because I got 100% yay!!! Heres the link to epic: Epic.

Back to school

Hey readers, during this week we had came to back to school. And now we are at level 2, I feel glad that now we are back to school. Some differences about being back at school is that you have to sanitice your hands when you get to school. My favorite thing that has changed is that we have a 5 minute brain break. And we have read and feed after playing for moring tea. 

Some things to remeber about staying safe:

- Sanitice your hands daily

- clean your sufaces after using them

- Keep 1 meter away from people

- Stay home if your sick.

A comic poem- Last reading hangout in lockdown

Today for our last reading hangout in lockdown we had to read a poem then do a quiz. first Mrs Jones read us the poem. Then we had to do the quiz. After that we needed to read on epic or play reading games.  Once we all finished we got told our results, I got 11 out of 12 I got one wrong but I can learn that from next time. Please comment.
